Simply Fabulous in Sour Apple

This is just too fantastic...have to share it with you! Ceci S. came in a few weeks ago looking for apple green cardstock and dark brown accents for a shower. We found the right colors in "Sour Apple" from Bazzill and the lovely flocked brown paper in the Lush Collection from My Mind's Eye. I made her promise to take photos so we could share with you.

The monograms are printed on Bazzil Cardstock first and then cut into 8.5" circles. I believe they used a laser printer and the texture to the cardstock wasn't an issue at all. It looks professionally printed...I have a sample in the shop!

Notice the simple green and brown band on the favor box? So simple, so chic!

If you're thinking this looks like something straight from a magzine, you're partially right. Ceci and her sister borrowed the concept from a magazine but personalized it for their own event.

Thanks for sharing Ceci!

April Showers & May Flowers

Handmade flowers are a HOT trend right now. I'm seeing them everwhere in magazines and blogs. In March, I taught a class that involved making ribbon flowers and it was such a hit that I'm doing a flowers technique class in May! I'm still gathering unique ideas and making samples but I wanted to share a few sneak peaks with you! We'll learn at least a dozen different flower projects that require few to no special tools or dies!

May Flowers Class
